GEOde AI Visibility ("GEOde," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Violet Rome LLC. We help Shopify merchants improve their visibility with AI-powered search engines and large language models. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at geodeapp.ai or our Shopify application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Name and email address when you sign up or contact us.
• Store Data: When you connect your Shopify store, we access product titles, descriptions, images, and metadata necessary to perform audits and optimizations. We only request the permissions required to operate the app.
• Audit Data: URLs you submit for analysis and the results of those audits, stored to power your dashboard and track progress over time.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction logs to help us improve the product. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities.
• Payment Information: Billing is handled entirely by Shopify. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the GEOde service
• To generate AI visibility audits and optimization suggestions for your store
• To send transactional emails such as audit results and support responses
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your store data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use OpenAI's API to power our AI analysis features. Data sent to OpenAI is subject to their privacy policy and data processing terms. We use Resend for transactional email delivery.
• Shopify: Our app operates within Shopify's ecosystem and is subject to Shopify's Partner Program Agreement.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of GEOde, our users, or others.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and audit history for as long as your account is active. If you uninstall the GEOde app from your Shopify store, we will delete your store's data within 30 days of receiving the app/uninstalled webhook. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us at support@geodeapp.ai.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed credentials, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you of any breach that affects your personal data as required by applicable law.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable laws, including the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
